Duy Tran

Duy Tran was born in 1982 in Nam Dinh Province in northern Vietnam. Since 2000, he has lived and worked in Ho Chi Minh City, a vibrant metropolis that has influenced him both culturally and artistically.

Tran developed a deep connection to painting at a young age. He created his first works as a teenager in his hometown, where he began selling his own work at an early age. This early experience laid the foundation for his ongoing engagement with artistic creation—characterized by curiosity, passion, and the urge to translate emotions into colors and forms.

Over the years, Duy Tran has developed into an independent artist with a clear visual language. His works are characterized by a particular sensitivity in the use of color, composition, and atmosphere. He confidently moves between figuration and abstraction, often inspired by the Vietnamese way of life, observations of nature, and inner moods.

Transt's artistic approach is intuitive yet reflective—a balance between technical precision and free expression. His painting is not intended as mere representation, but as an invitation to contemplation, to engage with the visible and the invisible.

Away from the studio, Duy Tran is close to nature and a sports enthusiast. He finds balance in hikes with family and friends, as well as in his passion for football, particularly as a longtime Manchester City supporter. These moments of calm and excitement often indirectly flow into his artistic work.
