Description:

Minimalism was understood as a specifically American art movement that wanted to stand out from European traditions (such as constructivism, concrete art, painting at the Bauhaus). This tradition is taken up and reinterpreted by the artist. This allows the artist Rolf Krieger to bring his own handwriting and his sense of art into each of his pictures. He skilfully uses the range of possibilities of digital technology in order to break new creative ground.

The contours of the motifs are created from the vertically and horizontally curved lines. Figures disturb the strict lines of the work, but at the same time fit harmoniously into it. These contrasts give the overall work the visual tension that is typical of the artist's works from this series of works.
